Our Story

With over 10 years of experience in HVAC commissioning, including the past 7 years based in New Zealand, we’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the industry.  Our experience includes those from commissioning complex mechanical systems in a wide range of projects — from commercial high-rises to intricate institutional facilities.

We understand the importance of delivering results on time and within budget, and we pride ourselves on clear communication, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Today, we bring deep technical knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism to every project we take on — ensuring your building systems perform at their best from day one.

Our Services

Air Balancing

Air side TAB is a critical part of HVAC system performance, ensuring that airflow is distributed properly throughout a building according to design specifications. Our team provides precise and reliable air balancing services that verify and optimize the performance of air handling units, VAVs, diffusers, exhaust systems, and other airside components

We use calibrated instruments and follow industry standards (such as NEBB or CIBSE) to:

  • Test airflow rates across systems and devices
  • Adjust dampers, fans, and control settings to achieve design flow rates
  • Balance air distribution for occupant comfort, energy efficiency, and code compliance
  • Document system performance in detailed TAB reports

Whether part of a new commissioning project or retro-commissioning an existing facility, our air balancing services help deliver quiet, efficient, and comfortable indoor environments.

Water Balancing

Water side TAB focuses on verifying and adjusting the flow of chilled water, heating water, and condenser water in hydronic HVAC systems. Accurate water balancing is essential to ensure that pumps, coils, valves, and heat exchangers perform efficiently and deliver the correct flow rates as per design.

Our experienced team performs thorough water balancing to:

    • Measure and verify flow rates using calibrated instrumentation
    • Adjust balancing valves and flow control devices to achieve system design conditions
    • Ensure even heat distribution across terminal units and coils
    • Help reduce energy consumption and extend equipment life
    • Provide detailed TAB reports for compliance and commissioning documentation

Whether it's part of a new HVAC commissioning process or existing systems, our water side balancing services support energy efficiency, comfort, and long-term system performance.

HVAC Buildings Assessment

Our HVAC Building Assessment services provide a detailed evaluation of your mechanical systems to identify performance issues, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement. Whether you're experiencing uneven temperatures, rising energy bills, or planning a retrofit, a professional assessment is the first step toward a smarter, more efficient building.

Our assessments typically include:

    • Review of existing HVAC system layout and operational conditions
    • Functional testing of equipment performance and control system.
    • Evaluation of airflow, water flow, ventilation, and filtration
    • Identification of energy inefficiencies and comfort issues
    • Recommendations for optimisation, repairs, or upgrades
    • Support for compliance with building codes and green building standards

By combining hands-on system testing with expert analysis, we help building owners and facility managers make informed decisions that improve system reliability, reduce costs, and extend the life of HVAC assets.

Whether your goal is performance verification, energy savings, or pre-renovation planning — we deliver the insights you need.

BWOF Services – SS5, SS9, SS11 & SS13.1

We specialise in the following specified systems:

SS5 – Escape Route Pressurisation Systems

We inspect and verify the performance of pressurisation systems that maintain safe escape routes during a fire. This includes testing airflow, pressure levels, and system response to ensure compliance with safety design requirements.

SS9 – Mechanical Ventilation or Air Conditioning Systems

Our team ensures that HVAC systems are operating as designed, providing sufficient ventilation and indoor air quality. We assess components such as air handlers, fans, filters, dampers, and controls, and confirm maintenance schedules are up to date.

SS11 – Laboratory Fume Cupboards

We inspect and test fume cupboards for proper face velocity, airflow patterns, and containment efficiency to protect users from hazardous exposure. Testing is performed using calibrated instruments and in accordance with NZS/AS standards.

SS13.1 – Mechanical Smoke Control Systems

We evaluate mechanical smoke extraction systems to ensure they function correctly in the event of a fire. This includes functional testing of fans, controls, dampers, and backup power, with full compliance documentation provided.

As an Independent Qualified Person (IQP) service provider, we support building owners and managers in meeting their obligations under New Zealand’s Building Act 2004 by providing inspection and reporting services for specified systems as part of the Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) process.
